Community Support

Throughout this election campaign, I have been impressed and humbled by the community support I have received.  Several people have mailed in Letters to the Editor of the Sun Journal.  This post collects all the lettes to date.

Thank you to all these people as we get closer to the Primary Election Day, June 14, 2016.

Gives back to the community
by Diane Grandmaison
Thursday, April 21, 2016

Roger Fuller is running as a Democrat for House of Representative District 59 in the June 14 primary.

Fuller is retired after 42 years in education as a teacher and administrator. He is a small business owner and a landlord in Lewiston and owns a property in New Hampshire.

He knows he will have big shoes to fill in replacing the highly respected Peggy Rotundo. She is termed-out after 16 years of quality representation for Lewiston.

For those who haven’t met Fuller, I can tell you he is “full of it” in a good way — full of enthusiasm, energy and commitment, plus he has a contagious smile. Most of all, he feels compelled to give back to the community.

People of Lewiston need someone who understands social, economic and other issues that affect seniors, working families and children.

I will be voting for Roger Fuller for District 59.

I am writing in support of Roger Fuller as representative for District 59.

Fuller is a retired educator with both classroom and administrative background. He served on several state-wide education committees and was the recipient of the Milken Educator Award.

He is a small business person and the landlord of a small apartment building in Lewiston.

He is well versed in current educational issues facing area teachers and students and is an advocate for protecting the environment. He will also fight for equality for all in employment, housing, access to services and in community participation.

He is intelligent and articulate and will be an outstanding representative for his constituents.

I am writing in support of Roger Fuller as representative for District 59. Fuller, a UMaine graduate, is a retired educator who taught in local schools for 28 years and won the prestigious national Milken Educator Award in 1993.

He has been involved with educational consulting and computer technology and has served on several statewide education committees. He is also a small business owner and a landlord in Lewiston. He has knowledge of the current educational issues facing teachers, students and communities. He will work to make the state pay its 55 percent to help reduce property taxes.

He and his wife, Gina, have lived in Lewiston for 42 years and have two children and four grandchildren. He will fight for equity for all in education, employment, housing and access to services.

I support Roger Fuller in the primary election on June 14.

Fuller ready to help others
by Linda Prescott
Saturday, May 28, 2016

I am supporting Roger Fuller for state Representative in District 59, Lewiston.

Fuller is a man who has provided outstanding community service and has an understanding of the educational issues facing the Lewiston area. He recently was out walking to meet his neighbors and community citizens, and he had a very interesting conversation with me very early one morning.

I am impressed with his attitude of helping others and his willingness to do what it takes to keep this community a place where I would be proud to live.

I hope others will join me in support of Roger Fuller in the June 14 Democratic primary election.

Fuller brings enthusiasm, expertise
Jeannette and Maurice Guay
Sunday, May 29, 2016

We have been very fortunate to have had Roger Fuller and his family as close and loyal friends for more than 35 years. He has the well-deserved reputation of having been an excellent teacher and administrator and a man completely involved and devoted to any task that came his way.

The enthusiasm, devotion and expertise that he has brought to all of his former tasks are excellent signs of what he will bring to both the city of Lewiston and to our District 59.

In him, we have one of our own to see that our interests are intelligently and well represented.

Jeannette and Maurice Guay, Lewiston

Thank you!
