Community Success

Community - It's all about community. How great to attend a full-house collaborative performance today at the Basilica of Ss. Peter and Paul for a performance of Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage and a Solemn Mass by Beethoven. It really was unique. The music was wonderful, and represented not just a musical challenge, but a collaborative challenge as the event brought together elemenst of the Maine Music Society, Bates College, Lewiston High School, and the Basilia Schola in a rare and unique performance in an inspiring venu. The applause at the end was a thunderous affrimation of the performance, and I do think some people were also applauding the success of seeing this event peformed in the Basilica as a community event.
